it in as much as trial and error on a couple of different computers with a couple of different sets of speakers... And it appears to bypass the compression....
You can use and mp3 encoding you like, I was just using wavelab as an example... In fact it can sometimes give a good result especially when your going from Wav to mp3 at such a fast bit rate..
