any recommendations? i just had the misfortune of loosing a great deal of my gear and i'm trying to keep my options open for my future projects.
i'm looking for preamps and mics, although i do ocassionally need a PA for small shows so that would be good.


if you're curious about what i plan on doing, i was planning on getting a nice 8 channel a/d convertor (no preamps) and a nice 1 or 2 channel preamp for my little ideas and overdubs, and then rent a good 8 channel preamp for recording drums or live sets.

seems like gear rental would be a pretty good market to be in, especially with the tons and tons of people like me with small home setups.
