OK,
I did some more testing and I found that I think my wiring is perfectly correct except for maybe needing to jump the grounds down from top to bottom. The main alarming issue that I had that threw me for a spin was the ... all conductors connected issue. Basically with a DMM pin 1 2 and 3 all conducted together as one signal. however, this only happens when the tail of the bay is plugged into my lavry output. So my pins 1 2 and three are independent when the female XLR is not plugged in ... and whenthe tails are plugged in they all test out as connected.
Is this correct?
I am really confused now. I did this test both with my bay plugged into the lavry and also just a regular mic cable and both had the same results. so I guess this is normal? I did ithis with the output of the fatso and only pins one and two showed a connection. Confused again.
Can anyone clarify what is supposed to happen when stuff is plugged in?
