In fact no, Linear transform is the term used for the transormation from an analog filter formulae H(w) to a digital filter formulae H(z). It could be also called the Bilinear Transform.
But it does not mean that it is Linear phase. In fact this transformation has a non linear phase, since it is based on an analog filter formulae, but for the high frequency settings, the shape produced by the standard Linear transform is wraped. There is also the Orfanidis filters, that are closer to the analog filter shapes, but not matched exactly, and the AMLT filters are matched to analog ones up to 20kHz.
