I'm just here trying to be straight with you. The name of the product Konnekt 24D means 24 channels + DSP. Likewise the Konnekt 8, is only 4 in, 4 out.
So just to clarify -
4 analog inputs + 8 digital channels to and from the computer: the user makes a choice between ADAT OR SPDIF OR a combination between the two. Options are:
1) 8 ADAT
2) 6 ADAT AND 2 COAXIAL SPDIF
2) 2 OPTICAL SPDIF AND 2 COAXIAL SPDIF
If you are using 8 ADAT channels, the SPDIF IN/out can be assigned in the Konnekt Control Panel to something else (direct monitoring signal, seperate send/return signal...etc) with both the ADAT port AND the SPDIF working at the same time = 14 ins and outs.
So yes, it has 14 ins and outs but only 12 simultaneous to and from the computer.
