| Thanks for the info, Mr. Swedien! I still remember the first time I read a hint of this process in an interview with Quincy Jones many years ago. The idea of preserving the original tapes until the final mix was a huge revelation to me. Also, Quincy mentioned the idea of not printing the MIDI tracks, but keeping them running "live" until the end. For someone working on four and eight-track, this was Christmas come early! |
