I agree! Sound time ago i did some stereo drum micing experiments with my Groove Tube Am51s. I remember liking ORTF better than XY. I usually use spaced pair just 'cause i like the width but i found ORTF to be a nice middle ground between spaced pair and XY. Gotta remember to try that again next time i have a drummer in.
