I use my UM92s with tube pres all the time and never have a *too tubey* of an issue. My tube pres are Tab Funkenwerk V-78 and Mercury M72. Love it. I use them with clean and highly coloured ss pres as well and the Gefell plays well with everything. I want to add a second UM92s, so I can have a pair. I have never tried the others on your list so I shoudn't have responded to the thread, but buying the Gefell UM92s was one of my best/smartest mic purchases.
