i believe i understand what no ssl is saying too. the reason i ask this question is that i have been proggressively improving my gear and a lot of times my peoples in the hood or who dont have a lot of dough will say i dont need all that stuff they say great records or made using much less. But my peoples who were in the hood and get a little credit for their skills are criticized for using 002, etc. the tools that have been hyped about. and i just dont understand the criticizism. So i was asking cats who use high end gear their opinions i grew up in nyc and jersey for 24 years and i had to grow up and recognize that music is universal(which i do) and i enjoy being able to create great music for less than 30,000, and mass market it without being in ny or la.
isnt it great.
