Hi, was wondering if anyone had any insights on how I am building my vocal melodies and building the song - not necessarily structure wise, but do the vocals build?

So hard to tell on your own stuff - I've been really working on expanding the melody as I tend to sit in one area of the scale or bounce between 2-3 notes, but I know I still need to improve in that area. I'm trying to get good at building from the verse into the chorus, getting the bridge feel, basically being able to retain a listener.

I'm still pretty new to music and writing, singing as well, its been maybe 2 years since I decided I'd try music/writing/singing out, so I know I have a lot to learn still but I have come a ways, my goal is to be able to write on the level of some pretty good writers so I'm really trying to figure out all the aspects to good writing.
