If I were the manufacturer ("help us design it" IMO means we should put that hat on, too) I'd do one option so it would always be immediately recognizable from some distance.
And that would pretty much rule out both "Satin Nickel and Black Matt" (unless it's really different, like the Gefell M900/910).
On the other hand, it should not take all the attention possible, of course. It's a tool; not the performance. But something else, something recognizable and perhaps even a little bold wouldn't hurt IMO.
For instance, I would feel perfectly comfortable (under the circumstances) on a stage, holding a Gefell M900.
