...the Stellar CM-6 thru a Great River ME-1NV is my favorite vocal tracking combo (my current compressor of choice is a Safe Sound P1, but the FMR PBC-6A is another terrific option)...if you haven't already upgraded the tube in your CM-6, consider swapping for an NOS Valvo E80F or Amperex 5840 (same tube branded differently)...the E80F is a high-grade military/industrial equivalent to the EF86...IMHO, that tube smooths out the top-end even more and brings out the best in the CM-6's tonality...a good NOS tube will run about $25-30, and is well worth the expense...swapping is a simple procedure, but burn-in (as with the stock tube) is a 48-72 hour process...
