I couldn't find a post directly speaking to this topic, so here I go.

Bandcamp offer to load 24bit and 16bit WAV files then allows the customer to choose which file format they want to download (FLAC, 320MP3 WAV etc). My concern is if I upload a 24bit WAV file and the customer chooses to download a 16bit WAV, will the bit conversion on the site be an issue? Or, would it be preferable that I dither it down to 16bit and just upload a 16bit WAV?

I guess my question summed up is: is a 16bit dithered better than a 24bit upload that will be converted by bandcamp?
