Sorry Chilly, but spending $99 on a 3ft XLR cable is a waste of money! The Gotham GAC-2AES cables he bought will perform at least as good and is rated for AES spec.
Do you think any of the music you listen to was recorded using such cables, or do you think it was recorded with many long lengths of common cabling? CoolColJ bought lots of cables because obviously he has lots of stuff to patch. Such is the case in music production. The needs and sensibilities are different than that of an audiophile.

People will buy a LOT of things if you sell it well enough! If you have a unit with a poor clock it will definitely improve it. You're better off buying a better converter though than buying an external clock. Unless you have some serious money to burn there is no point in these units if you own a Hilo/Lavry/Mytek/Prism.
