It can get similar tones when using the Low Pass filter, but unlike the Roland filters, this doesn't lose low end or volume when turning the resonance up. It has nice tight portamento like the 101 does, and the envelopes are nice and snappy. It has more sound creating possibilities over the 101, but the 101 has that damn sequencer =o]
