I was going to buy a cardioid-only version for around $4,000 several years ago. I was hesitant to send that much money to a one-man company in Finland however, and I probably didn't have the cash anyway.

The designer told me that he was recording some vocals in stereo, with a vintage U47 and a Nu-47. He said they matched up very well.

So if it sounds like a U47, what's this about "hearing the world the way it was meant to be heard"? In any event, it looks like the price tag has gone up considerably. I wonder what changes they've made to the mic in the last few years?

I think the grille could look better though, especially for that kind of money.
