Roland makes many good points but just a bit of new information here. Sequoia 12 includes Sonoris DDP player standalone which is a good confidence check on your DDP's. The excellent Birdline skins for Sequoia definitely improve the UI experience for me.
Depending on the type of work you do MuSyc extends 4 point editing for incredibly fast project navigation and alternate take selection. For classical editing I would hate to work without it now.
If I was doing more live concert recording with film productions, I'd want Pyramix for it's stability with LTC and efficient file format. However the platform is in a bit of a flux at the moment with Horus introduction and question marks over the future of mykonos hardware.
I don't know if Pyramix native would work better for me, but I do know I can do anything I can think of in Sequoia. Depending on the type of work you do (which the OP omitted to tell us) it is possibly the most fully featured product on the market, and definitely not a toy.
