My wife, who was my girlfriend then, wanted to go to the studio with me for a recording session for my band because she thought it would be fun. After 12 hours of laying down guitar tracks, she was not very happy. She never asked me to take her again. People think being a musician or rec. engineer is glamorous. It ain't! It's brutal hard work. But I still love it, cause I'm actually doing the work and not sitting around observing, and I'm totally insane when it comes to music. I've seen other people too, like the boyfriend of my former female singer get that glaze eyed worn out expression on their face after two hours being in the studio.
