Yes.. I actually don't even have a MIDI Control so everything I do is with a mouse. My way to get a little groove is to change the velocity of the hats so you get some live feel... Not necessarily that track but in general.
Anytime you hear 64th or 128th note hats its going to be 100% on the grid, and probably drawn in or done with note repeat. I'm quite sure that a guy like Toomp could lay these drums down on his own, but I don't think that's happening much with this type of beat.
