Two sounds to pay attention to in RELATION to the drum feel:
1) Synthy 8th note stab sound. Its attack puts it just slightly behind the drums, and because it's nearly as percussive as the hats, it is providing some 'swing'.
2) Vocals. T.I. knows how to ride the feel of the beat and give it some swagger. Alot of times when you take an instrumental that seems stiff and put vocals on it, it seems to give the track some life because the brain follows the vocal feel rather than ONLY the drums.
