Oh yes. I love my old D's, in fact I recently got a D20 as well to go with a D50 and a D110. The latter one being kind of a filler right now... It's surprising to realize this but fantastic sounds can still be obtained (ie, programmed) from D20 and D50.

They could definitely explore the Structures thing, even add their own take (which they'd have to invent) on FM and improve the D20/D50 VA abilities (which they actually factually do have!). If they'd have some real super developers they could even make it backwards compatible with these old instruments.

And if I'd be super lucky I'd find a less knowledgeable music store that would trade in my old ones and pay me some cash to get the new one... the Super D, D-1040 (celebrating the Atari we all had back then as well) I'd like it as a keyboard though, the only rack synths I ever really programmed (from their front panels) are JV1080, TX81Z and Nord Rack 2. Oh, and my truckload of EPS 16's / ASRs I've had over they years.
