I guess it comes down to how it sounds huh? Without hearing your space and the drums in the corner it'd be pretty generalized feedback.

Generally, corners are not as desireable as middle-of-the-room. This is the best approach to recording (most?) acoustic instruments, yes? But in reality a live-to-tape session where the band is in one room usually guarantees the drummer is in the corner, unless the space is huge.

In live shows drummers are usually stuck in the corner or way back against a tight wall. Drummers are used to this, and accept their fate like the dogs we are. Once I suggested trading places with the lead singer but that went over like a sandpaper condom.
