The difference between a good mixing converter and a mediocre one is the way in which it handles hot signals and overloads.
The 2192 has a bit of transformer saturation which helps when your printing mixes hot. Many other high end 2 channel converters have similar approaches although not all of them use transformers to get there.
It all comes down to taste, some people like a bit of analog saturation and others prefer a more neutral sound.
