I hope this reply is constructive as I don't wanna come across like a troll.

I hear what you're saying Joe and I agree that some remarks (mine included) were a bit caustic but I think that what prompted these remarks was that the product was announced as if it was some groundbreaking virtual instrument that hasn't been seen before.

Similar to trying to unveil a Big Mac as some kind of 3 Michelin star cuisine - it's this that probably got a lot of people's heckles up.

There are other independent developers on here that put an insane amount of work into their products and charge similar prices.

Something about this VI just smacks of lazy, wanna-make-some-quick-cash arrogance.

I respect what anyone's trying to do but for the guy who released this, when you label portamento knobs "SWAG" and try and pass it off as some hitherto unseen innovation, it's kinda feels like you're just trying to pull a fast one. It doesn't do anything for your credibility.

As much as there might have been a bit of trolling on this page, it's not always the way things are here - go check out the threads on Valhalla's products. That's one guy and he gets love left, right and centre and for good reason.

He released GREAT product at GREAT prices and the respect given to him is justifiably deserved.

I believe if this product would have been released at a much lower price and been announced with some degree of humility, like "Just announcing my first entry into virtual instruments - hope you like, would appreciate some feedback, etc" then I would hope the reactions would have been far more supportive. Still critical probably, but I'd like to think not as caustic.

Noone likes feeling like they're being taken for mugs and this product and the price point/way it was announced makes the experienced musicians on here feel like they're being taken for idiots, which they're not.

Work with this community, not against it please and you'll find the people far more ready to get on your side.

Personal feelings about the product aside, good luck with it, I know we're all trying to get some action going in this world and we all gotta eat.
