Tech9ne is incredible live. Definitely up there. Him and his two backup dudes - especially the guy with the big poofy hair. No band required.
When I saw AD, JJ was the only one on an actual instrument, I don't think Za or their drummer were present. Turntables/mpc, guitar, three vocalists.
The Roots put on a great show as well, but when I saw them, Red and Meth stomped it out. Also fantastic performers. I put Red and Meth in my top five for live for sure. Ironically Wu-Tang, not so impressive live.
