If you really want to record, you WILL need the following:

Marshall JCM800
Marshall Plexi
Mesa Rectifier
Fender Twin
Vox AC30
Peavey 5150 or new 5150 by Fender

You WILL use all these amps at some point or all the time if you want to work with a lot of styles of music. Hell, I used 4 of those in my last band's album single session.
