And if i were to buy one...EWI is the best cheap option? 800 for 8 channels of radial is out of my price range...im looking to spend HOPEFULLY 1k on 16 channels of PREFERABLY 3 channel split, under 1k would be nice

EDIT, the EWI has WAYYYY TOOO MUCH thd

How about the Klark Teknik Square One...minus the fact that it has an active split with gain control, it may be functional, but i can see the preamp being a, "you cant do this, its changing my sound" to the FOH or monitor guy.
