And the mix video was good and all
What I would of really enjoyed was the audio stems of the mix so we could have a proper before and after and the settings where never really talked about or explained and the ssl eq/dynamics was never shot(photo) or really explained his preferences (on that mix)
Other than that awesome I am happy I just feel like it could be a little more instructive and a little more in depth
Hi,
Thanks for your feedback. I don't know i you've had a chance to check out
the "Additional Assets" ZIP file yet. But, the day Joe mixed the track, we
took high-rez photos of all the gear with the exact settings that Joe used.
We provided a very large rez version of the top of the SSL board going down
section-by-section. If you zoom in, you can see the exact knob settings
on the board.
Also, we worked with James Motely of SSL and they provided some templates and other info about the board (like a very large picture of
the channel strip.
We hope that with this additional info, you'll be able to dive in and see
exactly what he had set.
When we did the video tracking, Joe was very good about A/B'ing
the sections with processing and without. He also solo'd many of the
effects loops so you can hear them.
So, what you hear on the video is digitally captured and right into our
recorder.
Does that help? If not, we might be able to think of something to address
the issues you've raised ... other than recall the session . because, as Joe
says, "I'm not interested in recalling your session ... it's done" :-)

Thanks for watching it and providing your feedback,
Jeff
