I have a seven string I use for super drop tuned metal stuff. I put some really heavy gauge strings on it (ernie ball 8-string nickel wound gauges 74-13) and it plays really well. The low strings are nice and tight and don't bend too much when I'm playing hard. The only problem is, of course, the strings are super dark and I need them to be super bright. I know a 74 can only be so bright, but can anyone suggest a brighter set near the gauge I'm at now?
