Having used the Waves SSL plugs I can tell you they make all the difference in the world. They sound great, a good buy, especially in the native format.

i'm with you though, i'd love to hear some reviews etc about duende. it would be great if it sounded just like the waves plugs but with no cpu overhead, killer.

hope that helps a little bit,

How big of a hit do you get on your cpu when using the SSL channel strip? I have been debating channel strips for a couple of months now and at the moment I am digging the VBaudio one the best.

I get very quick results from it and it has some great visual features, eg. meter bridge showing compression for every channel that you have the plugin on. Very nice stuff. But the hole SSL sales pitch has me. Also I want that master limiter. Hmmmm
