Is there a way to tell if you have a counterfeit Shure sm57 ?
S/N ? Codes ? Parts ?

I bought a Shure 57 about 10 years back. The price was cheap, and the shop when out of biz after a few years. The mic never just sounded right to me.
Maybe I should buy another one to compare.
or..... maybe I need a better preamp.
