What i'm trying to achieve is this: suppose i have a softsynth playing, i want to set a track to record in Sonar and simply route the signal so the sound card input records what is being played: the sound card output - without the feedback loop that would occur if you were to normally connect an input to it's own output.
I keep messing with options within the sound card setting which says loopback1,2,3,4 but the my logic is all wrong as nothing happens.
