I have a Tonelux system. Don't confuse it with other summing bus devices. This rig sounds like you would expect from a desk. It also has many facilities that straight summing bus units don't have.
Frankly talking about how great it sounds doesn't do it justice. Try to find a dealer and get a listen. If you have ears on the side of your head I'm sure you will be impressed.
I just replaced my Trident Flexi with the Tonelux. The Flexi has been modified w/ new Acopian supplies, copper ground bars etc.. and sounder better than some 80Bs and Cs I've worked on. When I A/B'd the 2 the difference was profound. Fat, punchy and clear lowend. Great clarity in the mid range and the top is absolutley wonderful. The Trident is now for sale.
Like I said this is the sound of a real console, regardless of how large the footprint ends up being. My goal is to add another 2 Vracks and continue to build it into a full blown console. At the moment I'm using a 2 Vrack 24ch system w/ 4 sends and 8 rets. Couldn't be happier. K.
