I watched a vid earlier of some engineer mixing a live show using waves plugins and thought how great it would be to be able to use some of my plugins for a live show as all i have is a desk and speakers and id really like to have some compression for drum vocals etc.My question is this,is it possible to do this with your average mixing desk and a computer?I would presume it would be done by connecting the effect send and returns on the desk into an interface then mixing each instrument in the DAW.Just curious before i try this in case i blow something.
