Not at all, but you have to be careful not to count 'reading and posting on GS' as the same as 'making music'.

Well, it depends on what makes it amazing. I might get shot down for this, but for me commercial success was very important along with the creative fulfillment side. I was lucky enough to get that with a song towards the end of my pro career in music (semi-retired 10 years ago after 15 yrs writing and production and making a reasonable living) and yes, it did make it worth it both creatively and financially. An interesting side effect was that it also changed the perception of friends and family, some of whom didn't see music as a 'proper job' despite the stupid amount of hours and effort I was putting in.
