It wouldn't be bad, as such, but it probably won't sound right at all. First off, you might find it tricky getting levels right - phono outputs from turntables aren't usually line level or mic level (although they're typically closer to the latter) so you'll probably need to play around with gain settings to see if you can get a decent clean signal. Second - and perhaps more important - the turntable/phono inputs on a hi-fi amp or a DJ setup or similar have a fixed EQ circuit built into them to compensate for the EQ curve that is cut into vinyl. Google for "RIAA EQ curve" if you want to know more. Without some kind of RIAA circuit in the signal path (such as provided by a proper phono preamp) the sound from your turntable is going to be a bit weird. It may be possible to correct for it manually using your own EQ, but it'll be a lot easier just running the turntable through some kind of phono pre in the first place.
