I traded in my Phelicity since I didn't use it that often (amazing mic, just not for me), in order to get a second Arabella, as I freakin love that mic and could use a stereo pair. Ben offered to upgrade it to a T1 instead for a bit more, and I couldn't resist.

It showed up yesterday in the middle of tracking vocals with a female artist that you will all know soon enough

. I was using the Arabella at that moment, as it has been my favorite vocal mic I've ever had the pleasure of using. Amazing on almost everything though...

In the middle of doing takes, i couldn't resist, and I just switched out the Arabella with the T1. Then my jaw hit the floor.

I couldn't believe a mic could sound that much better. I've never used a real U47, but have heard the reviews, which was my motivation for getting the T1. The only word I can use to describe the sound.....Magical. It sounded like a "record" within seconds.

Smoother, more colorful, softer, more 3D, more "Real", more everything in a better way. Not just over the Arabella, but any mic I've used thus far.

I've only had a couple hours with it, but will be finishing this entire next record with the T1.

I'll add to this review once I've had more time with it, and I plan to use it on drums, bass cab, etc., and will report back to anyone interested.

I am just so excited and blown away that I had to share. If you need a mic and have some cash to spend, get a BEES NEEZ!!!! The T1 is their cream of the crop and worth every penny. But every mic they make, (I own the Arabella, Elly, Lulu Fet, and had a Phelicity), is utterly astounding. They are also fantastic people and they give a LIFETIME warranty.

This is a no brainer.

It feels good to make a gear purchase that exceeds your expectations.

Now I want another one for a stereo pair.
