I asked myself that too. But my interface (Orpheus, in this case) has software control panel that allows me to route any output to headphone. When I route Analog Outputs, no problem. Route Digital Output 1/2, problem. My SPDIF(digital out) normally goes to the D-box DAW input. That was how I noticed the stereo image issue. When I hit "SUM" on the d-box, the stereo image was fine. And when I disconnect the d-box and monitor via the built-in headphone on the Orpheus, I could hear the problem is there. So it's not the D-box, I guess? Again, it's more obvious at a very low volume, like 7 o'clock. Sorry about the rant, thanks for trying to help!
