First it's really a shame that we don't get ssl bundle or at least a Mega bundle ( like mercury price) where you choose your components !

I don't believe the Pros actually use their signature plugins. The signature plugins are supposed to emulate the sound of several different pieces of gear that they use all wrapped up into one plugins with a few knobs.
The Pros will use the gear those plugins are based off of. Using those plugins would actually limit their flexibility by giving them 4-5 knobs instead of 4-5 pieces of gear with several knobs.
I am not a big fan of the "all-in-one guitar" plugins or drums or bass or anything else like that. The Kramer Master Tape, CLA classic compressors and things like that are cool, though.
