the dbx160a isnt a bad comp at all.. i track vocals with it, from my avedis Ma5..and the sound has color and warmth...i just slap a la2a on it in my itb vocal chain and magic, its a nice and up front vocal..one key to it, is light GR stay around 3 to 6....
