Angels and Airwaves have recorded that way. Really gives the drummer an opportunity to play to the song, rather than just beat. It can cause the bass and guitar to sound stiff too... So it might be worth tracking some scratch drums, and then trashing them once everything else is recorded, and rerecording them. Or, if you dont have the time for that, just putting down a drum loop... It will feel more natural than playing to just a click at least.
