Would go for Rolls because of price but I'm a bit worried it won't have quite enuff of that SSL Thang I'm after: I've got the STC8 for a pristine buss comp... like i said, i want this for that "modern" thwack flavour that suits certain things...
thoughts on how the rolls stacks up IN THIS REGARD (not just whether it's a good comp in general).

The Roll sounds a little more open than the others, but still has plenty of spank. Very impressive for the dough. Very impressive.
