though on that note, the last 3 songs I recorded myself were not only sitting down, but also outside of my booth - which undoubtable takes alot of the pressure off and boosts your mood/confidence. As well, it was no doubt a lot easier to breath because this. (my booth is dark and hot)
I had a girl sitting down in the booth to sing though and she felt much better about it. Her performance came out much stronger

I actually find the opposite. I do scratch vocals sitting down, because it's easier when I'm arranging at the same time. But when I'm ready to lay down keepers, I stand up. For the same reasons you listed. I'm better able to push more air, more emotion, more control, more everything.
Everybody works differently!
