I actually find the opposite. I do scratch vocals sitting down, because it's easier when I'm arranging at the same time. But when I'm ready to lay down keepers, I stand up. For the same reasons you listed. I'm better able to push more air, more emotion, more control, more everything.

Everybody works differently!
