If the native version is using oversampling then maybe it's the lack of aliasing making it less audible? |
For sure NO - aliasing is noise mostly - you can be sure that poco version does not produce noisy results. I sold my poco cards. So i can only recall sound from memory but from what i tried this new plugin is similar but not same. I am really curious to know why did they claim it is same algorithm since it isn't (a lot of people are reporting different results - it can't be just coincidence)?
I am not one of people which think that DSP is somehow superior to native. I do know it's the algorithm and quality behind it and that is all that is important. However i don't like when someone is claiming you will get something which in the end you don't get. Maybe they forced release to soon or something so they missed some time for fine tweaking. Guys behind PluginAlliance are top developers and i don't believe it is about lack of some skills.
Really interesting..
