Can't help you with the first mic, heard good things about them. But I'll say on the TLM149 side, for the money, it's a great, great, great mic! Really, smooooth on male vox and acoustic guitar as well. As someone said in a previous reply, NEUMANN products are always or almost always reliable. I completely agree. And this is a fantastic new product. I'm sure once it is available to everyone, (I HEAR THERE ARE A TON OF BACK ORDERS ALREADY, try Guitar Center), there will be many people who agree. Pretty solid, vibey looking thing too...Love it...
