i have been trying to create prog psy basslines for a while now and not manged it. songs like day din's "i beg you" for example
i have trilian cos in a lot of these songs it sounds like a real bass sound...... i eventually tried sampleing trillian and then creating a duplicate layer and shifting the note of the second slightly later and this is making some cool bass sounds when the notes are in certain places. i do not know much about phaseing but i assume this is what is happening so i was wondering if although it sounds good will this be an issue when it is on a big sound system? also if anyone could say how to make these types of basslines it would be great, a link to an example is below
