Hey,
Bought the TLM149 and was smiling and just kept on smiling on how it came out of my mackie HR824 monitors. I just did an acoustic guitar/vox thru a LA-610 into digi 002 and it sounds fantastic. I was using the TLM103 which is a nice mic. But it can be harsh. THe TLM149 was smooth, rich, full. I did have to crank up my GAIN and MIC PRE more than I do with the 103. But it's a great mic for the buy. As soon as I can get the cash, it's a SOUNDELUX E49 though. This will do til' then.
PS) I see someone had a Avalon 737. Does anyone have any opinions on those as compare to the UA-LA-610? Thinking it might be better with the TLM149. Do love the 610 though...Always need more gear...
PS) number #2...What are converters and do I need one for a small home studio set up, that takes most of my projects into bigger studios for mixing?
OKAY, TOO MANY TOPICS sorry! Thanks!
