Side Note: I have 9 of 12 cores dedicated to PT, highest buffer I can, and 99 CPU usage to the cores dedicated to PT. Still no good. I can't tell you how many plugs I can run fine on the lowest buffer setting when recording without issue. Yet, not 1 instance, full, by itself? I know there's a lot going on under the hood, but this is a stretch to use that argument with the system I have. There's definitely room for improvement. And yes, I will submit a ticket, but this is a bit frustrating at this point (had same performance on an i7-920 with this plug and PT)... | I've been waiting for that same update.
I also work in 96k.
till then its mostly Izotope 5 and fabfilter
