Also from don:
Andromeda has two tuning routines that are used to maintain the correct pitch. Background tune and Temperature tune. The background one tunes all the oscillators all the time making sure each stays in perfect pitch which can result in a little bit sterile sound. Best when disabled.
The temperature tuning will make sure your Andromeda stays on 440Hz at A4 as it compensates change in pitch during temperature change. This tuning should be enabled as it will take care that Andromeda is in tune with the rest of your synths.
For the most FAT sound, you can disable both tunings. You can even use the AUX output as it goes directly from the VCAs signal path. To use Andromeda without any tuning options, first turn it on, wait 40 minutes (to ensure regulators heat the PCB board) then start the Autotune routine. This will calibrate all the oscillators at the "average" temperature. From that time on, you can use Andromeda without any tuning options, as long as it heats up to "average" temperature and all the oscillators will be within tolerated pitch offset, yet FAT sounding.
All in all GREAT sounding synth when you disable the tunings. Has that "surgical" precise sound, yet FAT at the same time. And no coloring at all which makes it really exotic sounding as opposed to OB-X, JP-8 or P-5.
