You've already posted a near identical thread about this. Posting a second thread will just spread the comments and helpful information...
Additionally, as myself and others said in the original thread: Studio design/conversion is always governed by the context - what building? what design goals? budget? etc...
In order to use words like "effectively separated" and "completely eliminate", you'd need to supply the context. "Effectively separated" for a gun range means something entirely different than "effectively separated" for a VO studio.
